BadBuddha's CBC 10-Flip

CBC Flip detects momentum direction changes on a 10-minute timeframe and displays the signals on a lower timeframe chart (configurable from 1-5 minutes). The "CBC" (Candle Body Cross) flip methodology identifies when price action shifts from bullish to bearish bias or vice versa, providing early warning of potential trend changes that can be used for trade entries, exits, or bias confirmation.

The flip detection logic uses a dual-timeframe approach with four exponential moving averages: 9 EMA and 20 EMA calculated on both the lower display timeframe and the 10-minute reference timeframe. A Flip Long signal triggers when the 10-minute bar closes above its previous bar's high while maintaining bullish EMA alignment. Conversely, a Flip Short signal triggers when the 10-minute bar closes below its previous bar's low with bearish EMA alignment. This combination of price structure breaks with EMA trend confirmation filters out many false signals.

Visual elements are fully configurable and include directional arrows at flip points, text labels identifying the flip type, vertical lines spanning the chart height to mark flip bars, and the four EMA lines plotted on the lower timeframe chart. Each visual component can be independently enabled or disabled, and offset distances for arrows and labels are adjustable in ticks to accommodate different instruments and chart scales.

The indicator manages multi-timeframe data series automatically, adding both the user-selected lower timeframe and the fixed 10-minute series during configuration. EMA calculations are cached for performance, and flip state is maintained across bars to ensure signals only fire on actual state transitions rather than every qualifying bar.
