Standard volume indicators show you a single number—total volume. But that number alone tells you nothing about who is in control. Custom Volume Lite breaks down each bar's volume into its buying and selling components, revealing the true pressure behind price movement. When price closes near the high of a bar, buyers were in control. When it closes near the low, sellers dominated. This indicator calculates and displays this breakdown automatically, color-coding each bar so you can assess market sentiment at a glance.

Is today's volume high or low? The answer depends on context. Custom Volume Lite provides two layers of volume averaging to give you complete perspective. The 30-day daily volume average tells you how today's session compares to recent history—essential for identifying whether institutional players are active. The configurable bar volume average shows you how the current bar compares to recent bars on your trading timeframe, helping you spot unusual activity as it happens.

When volume spikes above your defined threshold, Custom Volume Lite immediately highlights the condition with bright color-coded labels. These unusual volume events often precede significant price moves—breakouts, reversals, or the start of strong trends. By setting your unusual volume threshold (default 200% of average), you create a personal alert system that draws your attention exactly when it matters most.

The indicator displays three key statistics directly on your volume panel, positioned for quick reference without cluttering your chart. See the current bar's volume as both a raw number and percentage of average. View the average volume for context. And most importantly, see the buy/sell percentage split that reveals which side is winning the current bar. Each label is color-coded—green when conditions favor buyers, red when sellers are in control, and neutral when the market is balanced.
