News Markers Lite displays today's high and medium impact economic calendar events directly on your NinjaTrader charts, marking the times when scheduled news releases occur. The indicator reads event data from a CSV file containing economic calendar information (date, time, country, currency, impact level, and event title) and renders visual markers on the time axis at the corresponding chart times.

The Lite version focuses on the current trading day, showing only high and medium impact events that matter most to intraday traders. Country flags are displayed on the time axis markers, providing quick visual identification of which country's economic data is being released. Optional vertical guide lines can be drawn at event times spanning the full chart height, making it easy to see how price behaved around news releases.

News Markers PRO displays economic calendar events directly on your NinjaTrader charts, marking the times when scheduled news releases occur and providing countdown timers to upcoming events. The indicator reads event data from CSV files containing economic calendar information (date, time, country, currency, impact level, event title, and actual/forecast/previous values) and renders visual markers at the corresponding chart times.

Events are filtered by impact level (High, Medium, Low) and can be further filtered by currency to show only events relevant to the instrument you're trading. The Auto-by-Instrument mode automatically determines which currencies affect your chart's instrument, while Custom Currency List mode lets you specify exactly which currencies to display. This filtering ensures you see only the events that matter for your trading without cluttering the chart with irrelevant data.

The PRO version includes configurable date ranges for viewing past and future events beyond just today, as well as a "blackout window" feature that identifies when price is within a configurable time range of an upcoming high-impact event. This information is exposed through public series that strategies can access: InNewsWindowSeries (1.0 when in blackout, 0.0 otherwise), MinutesToNextHighSeries, MinutesToNextMediumSeries, and UpcomingEventTitle. These outputs allow automated strategies to pause or modify behavior around news events.

Additional PRO features include a popout Events Table window showing all upcoming events with "Due In" countdowns, live countdown timers that update in real-time, configurable audio and visual alerts before events, Discord webhook integration for daily/weekly event summaries, and secure local storage for webhook credentials. The indicator uses SharpDX rendering for smooth chart overlays with country flag icons, stacked event dots for multiple same-time events, and click-to-expand detail panels.
